Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Pediatric Care
Dr. Robyn Adcock is a specialist in traditional Asian medicine who cares for children from birth to young adulthood using techniques that include acupuncture, acupressure and other manual therapies. Adcock served as the lead clinician for a clinical trial studying the benefits of acupressure to ease treatment-related symptoms in children being treated for cancer or receiving a stem cell transplants.
After earning a bachelor's degree with a double major in chemistry and theater and dance at Trinity College, Adcock earned a master's degree in Oriental medicine at Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. She then went on to earn a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine degree at Pacific College of Health and Science. Adcock has also served as executive director and CEO of the California State Oriental Medical Association.

The Basic Approach to Treating Depression with Traditional Chinese Medicine
Dr. Joseph Changqing Yang earned his BMed in Chinese medicine in 1984 and his MMed in 1987 with a specialization in diagnosis and pharmacology. He immediately joined the faculty at Heilongjiang University teaching courses in the fundamental theories of medicine while serving as attending physician at Heilongjiang University Hospital until 1994. Dr. Yang pursued his doctorate studies in psychiatry at Kobe University, Japan, and his research was published in the Journal of Biological Psychiatry. He currently maintains a private practice specializing in acupuncture treatment of mental health patients in Santa Monica, California, and has been on faculty at Emperor's College since 2002.

Dr Weidong Lu born and raised in Ningbo, China, Weidong Lu has over thirty years of clinical acupuncture experience. Aside from his private practice, Weidong also established the Oncology Acupuncture department in 2000 at the Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the world's leading cancer hospitals, where he still leads the current team. He is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Additionally, Weidong's research in the field of integrative oncology has been the recipient of numerous grants, including from the National Institute of Health. His research primarily focuses on the symptom management and supportive care of oncology patients using integrative therapies, including acupuncture. He has published over 60 research papers and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work nationally and globally, including countries in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Practical Safety& Medical Errors and Practical Ethics
This course is appropriate for beginning level participants, up to advanced. It is organized to be super practical and straight forward. It will cover the main categories of safety issues in acupuncture practice, and provides numerous simple tips and strategies for avoiding them. As in previous courses by Amy, it will include an open discussion feature throughout the program. This allows for an engaging and personalized opportunity for attendees to interact with the instructor and to learn from questions and answers of other participants.
Amy Sear, A.P., Dipl.OM holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, and Masters level training in Oriental Medicine. She is Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine. Amy is a member of the Florida State Oriental Medical Association (FSOMA) and the Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO). She is a frequent lecturer on an array of specialty topics, including Ethics & Safety in Oriental Medicine Practice, Amy teaches at two schools of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Florida, and is a frequent presenter of Continuing Education for the Chinese Medicine professional community. Amy has worked in true Integrative fashion, side by side with noted Breast Oncologists, since 2002, and practices at the Breast Cancer Center(s) of Memorial Cancer Institute in Hollywood and Pembroke Pines, FL.

Acupuncture and Herbs for Peripheral Neuropathy (Chinese & English)
This course aims to provide a comprehensive review of peripheral neuropathy, including its pathogenesis, current clinical treatment overview, and limitations. Additionally, it introduces the understanding of peripheral neuropathy in traditional Chinese medicine, its etiology, and pathogenesis analysis. The course emphasizes the unique advantages of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy.
Dr. Yue Wang, AP Chief Physician, graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1989. She completed her residency at the Dongzhimen Hospital, affiliated with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, specializing in internal medicine. She was trained by the national master of traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Lü Ren, and received in-depth guidance in the treatment of diabetes and kidney diseases in traditional Chinese medicine. Wang Yue, along with his research team, has published over 20 research papers and authored six monographs. She has received multiple national and municipal-level research awards. She also contributed to the establishment of the first Diabetes Professional Committee in China, which later became the predecessor of the Diabetes Society of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine. After moving to the United States, she conducted basic research in various medical colleges, completed postdoctoral training, and then returned to clinical practice.

An Integrative Approach Auto Immune Disease (Part 1 & Part 2)
These discussions will include basic concepts of immune dysregulation of the
adaptive immune system, and the associated disorders of autoimmune thyroid
disease, inflammatory bowel disease, MS, lupus, and Sjogren's syndrome. Each will
be a clinically applicable integrated approach blending Western concepts but utilizing
acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas and common functional/naturopathic
nutritional supplements for treatments.
Dr. Butch Levy MD, L.Ac. has been a primary care physician for 50 years and is an NCCAOM certified practitioner in Chinese medicine for twenty-five years. His education was in TCM, but his training was based on mentorship with his colleague and friend, Dr. Miki Shima, for almost 30 years. Dr. Shima has retired but encouraged Dr. Levy to continue teaching in the innovative style that he practiced. Dr. Levy focuses on the eight extra vessels and channel divergents, along with meridian therapy.

TCM Protocols for Trigeminal Neuralgia (Bilingual)
Xiping Zhou, MDOM, L.Ac. earned his Bachelor of Science in Medicine from HeiLongJiang University in the Peoples' Republic of China, where he graduated at the top of his class. The degree he earned there licensed him as a doctor of both mainstream Western medicine (in China) and TCM. For several years, Dr. Zhou was on staff at the affiliated hospital of the HeiLongJiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He specialized in both individualized treatment and in diagnosis in herbs, acupuncture, and TuiNa (Chinese medical massage). In July 1993, while serving as chief physician and full professor at HeiLongJiang Medical College, Dr. Zhou was asked to visit the United States to speak at the National Conference of Acupuncture about his success in treating stroke patients with paralysis. From 1994 to 2000, he taught acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the Midwest College for the Study of Oriental Medicine in Racine, Wis.
Dr. Zhou established his private practice in Madison and Milwaukee in 1996. In 1999, he joined the staff of Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, becoming one of the very first acupuncturists on staff at any Wisconsin hospital. Dr. Zhou incorporates acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and therapeutic Chinese massage. Dr. Zhou is also a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and teaches classes through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Mini-Courses. Dr. Zhou is the founder and president of the East-West Healing Arts Institute, located in Madison. East-West Healing Arts Institute is a school for therapeutic massage integrating Western and Eastern massage modalities.
