    • Dr. Yubing Lu: Ph.D. (China), M.D. (China), L.Ac. (Minnesota) is the Academic Dean of the American Academy of Health and Wellness. He received his medical training at the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, earning a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and Ph.D. degree in traditional Chinese medicine. He has served as an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the U.S., Dr. Lu served as the Academic Dean at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for fifteen years, and as a professor at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Lu’s academic specialties include Chinese medicine theory, Chinese herbal medicine, classical Chinese medicine texts, and pulse diagnosis. In addition to being a gifted instructor, Dr. Lu pursues research on the application of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to the most commonly-seen health conditions, and he is the author of more than seventy books in this field. Dr. Lu’s flair for teaching and comprehensive knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine attracts many acupuncture and TCM graduate students to his courses and seminars.

Cohen: Misha Ruth Cohen, DOM, LAC, has practiced traditional Asian medicine and integrated Chinese medicine for the past 45 years, and is renowned as a senior teacher, mentor, and leading expert in these fields. She trains medical doctors as well as Chinese medicine practitioners and has presented at numerous conferences and symposia. She is the Clinical Director of Chicken Soup Chinese Medicine, Executive Director of the Misha Ruth Cohen Education Foundation, and past Research Specialist of Integrative Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Cohen has authored eight books, for both professionals and patients, along with numerous professional journal and consumer magazine articles.     • Dr. Tiejun Tang: Professor Tiejun Tang graduated from the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in 1984. In 1998, he earned his PhD from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine under the supervision of Professor Deng Tietao, a renowned Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2000, he completed his postdoctoral research at the Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. Since 2005, he has been based in the United Kingdom, serving for over ten years as a clinical lecturer in the Acupuncture Program at Middlesex University, London. He is currently engaged in clinical practice in London and teaches Traditional Chinese Medicine at several institutions in the UK and across Europe. Professor Tang has published more than 70 academic papers in both Chinese and English in peer-reviewed journals. He founded an English-language academic blog on Traditional Chinese Medicine, which has received over 500,000 visits. His academic monograph “Discover the Science behind Traditional Chinese Medicine” was officially published by Maple Publishing (UK) in 2025.

    • Hui Ouyang, DC., L.Ac. grew up in a family of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctors and earned his medical degree in 1993 from Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, China. He obtained his Texas Acupuncturist License in 2004 and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2008 from Texas Chiropractic College. After moving to the U.S. in 1999, Dr. Ouyang conducted extensive acupuncture research as a research fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch and as a scientist at Transneuronix, publishing in journals like American Journal of Physiology and earning awards such as the Young Investigator Award. He teaches doctoral programs at schools including ACAOM, ATOM, AAAOM/AAHW, and ACTCM. Practicing at YIN & YANG Healthcare in southern Houston, Dr. Ouyang offers AcuChiro Therapy, an integrative approach combining acupuncture, chiropractic, Chinese herbs, and nutrition for spine and related disorders.
