Medicine Societies) has been held here in Los Angeles. Some 400 Chinese practitioners and leaders from China and America attended the conference. The increasing demands for Chinese medicine including acupuncture and herbal medicine in America have drawn special attention. Although the updated data is unknown, The National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) has reported in 2007 that over 14 million American have been treated with acupuncture. A recent white paper published by China’s State Council Information Office has indicated that there were $3.7 billion Chinese herbal products exported to the international market in 2015. A significant growth showcased the potential of Chinese herbal market outside China.
