Clinical Training in China Brings Together U.S. Practitioners in Field of Chinese Herbal Medicine with Leading Chinese Doctors and Professors: TCMzone Successfully Organized Its 5th Chinese Herbal Medicine Training at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Longhua Hospital
Tempe, AZ. June 9, 2016. With a relationship that dates back to 2008, herbal medicine supplier and continuing education provider, TCMzone, LLC. has been collaborating with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM) to create specialized clinical trainings. The program is designed for recent graduates in TCM, herbalists and established practitioners in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Working with International Education College of SHUTCM TCMzone has taken 5 different trips with a variety of attendees with diverse backgrounds (L.Ac., M.D., N.D.) but all with the same intention, to learn Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in a clinical setting. From May 13 to 28, 2016, TCMzone organized a group nearly 30 herbalists and L.Ac.’s travelling to Beijing and Shanghai China.
This trip was designed to focus on Chinese Herbal Medicine training, wherein all of the lectures were on herbal medicine treatment strategies for specific conditions and inpatient/outpatient clinical rounds were based in the herbal medicine department. After facilitating this customized training experience, TCMzone with the help of professors, doctors and expert interpreters at SHUTCM, will now be offering a variety of yearly trainings that will focus on condition-specific TCM treatment strategies from Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Bodywork and more.
The international educational training options are vast, as well stated by Professor Yan Xiao-Tian, Director of International Education College of SHUTCM. “We are glad to see TCMzone’s continuing education program has grown so successfully. The large group recently led by TCMzone from the USA represents a growing interest from practitioners for this kind of clinical training in TCM hospitals in China”.
“TCMzone provided a wonderful experience for my wife, Lesley and myself to invite 20+ of our students to tour and study Chinese medicine in China. We had fine accommodations and experienced the remarkable integration of TCM in one of the leading hospitals in Shanghai where our mornings consisted of inpatient and outpatient hospital rounds with expert TCM doctors and wonderful classes in the afternoon. TCMzone helped plan the perfect program of topics and provided wonderful interpreters. I highly recommend them as the source for such study tours. Everyone had a great and deeply enriching experience.” Michael Tierra, Founder and Director of the East West Course of Planetary Herbology.
