This is a series of the lectures for the autoimmune diseases. Dr. Zdravkov will present the diagnostics and treatment methods for autoimmune diseases applied by the Western, Chinese and Bioenergy medicines. How the autoimmune processes are manifested on the new reflection zones of the internal organs on the human lips will be discussed. New acupuncture points for the autoimmune process, from the newly discovered endocrine channels will also be discussed.

The Basic Approach to Treating Depression with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Dr. Joseph Changqing Yang earned his BMed in Chinese medicine in 1984 and his MMed in 1987 with a specialization in diagnosis and pharmacology. He immediately joined the faculty at Heilongjiang University teaching courses in the fundamental theories of medicine while serving as attending physician at Heilongjiang University Hospital until 1994. Dr. Yang pursued his doctorate studies in psychiatry at Kobe University, Japan, and his research was published in the Journal of Biological Psychiatry. He currently maintains a private practice specializing in acupuncture treatment of mental health patients in Santa Monica, California, and has been on faculty at Emperor’s College since 2002.

Dr. Robyn Adcock is a specialist in traditional Asian medicine who cares for children from birth to young adulthood using techniques that include acupuncture, acupressure and other manual therapies. Adcock served as the lead clinician for a clinical trial studying the benefits of acupressure to ease treatment-related symptoms in children being treated for cancer or receiving a stem cell transplants.

After earning a bachelor's degree with a double major in chemistry and theater and dance at Trinity College, Adcock earned a master's degree in Oriental medicine at Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. She then went on to earn a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine degree at Pacific College of Health and Science. Adcock has also served as executive director and CEO of the California State Oriental Medical Association.
